PLAYSeriously.

We believe play is the most underestimated and underexplored vehicle for serious learning.

ALT is designed to put the complexity of making sustainable choices into the hands of the generation that will have to navigate climate change.

Engage your students.
Inspire the next generation to take action.
The Game
A competitive card game about sustainable choices.
Each card presents two mirrored lifestyle options from the same category. Every option carries an economic score and a carbon score. Build a complete set across all five categories. Manage both simultaneously. The first player to accumulate a score of less than 25 on both carbon and cost wins.
75
Total Cards
60 lifestyle cards and 15 action cards. Every lifestyle card carries two mirrored choices from the same category.
5
Lifestyle Categories
A complete hand spans every category.

15
Action Cards
Rotate, Switch, Lose a Lifestyle, Block. The take-that action cards provides enough strategic depth without over-complicating the game.
01
Player versus Player
Competitive mechanics create genuine tension. Players face real trade-offs between carbon efficiency and cost management, mirroring the actual complexity of sustainable decision-making.
02
Five Lifestyle Categories
Intake, Travel, Work, Leisure, and Miscellaneous. The breadth ensures participants engage with sustainability across the full surface area of their lives, not just the obvious ones.
03
Dual Score Management
Carbon and cost scores run simultaneously. The focus is on finding a strategy that allows for both carbon and cost optimization.
The Championship
Structured competition. Real stakes.
The ALT Championship is a fully facilitated tournament designed for schools, with pre-drawn randomized brackets and structured rounds. The scale of the championship is determined by the size of the participating cohort. The pilot is the entry point — 40 students, one session, this term. Schools that complete a pilot receive 30% off all future championships for three years.

Kickstart with a Pilot

ALT Championship is offered to schools that want to do something genuinely different with sustainability education. It is not a lecture, nor is it a module or a project activity. It is a competitive, facilitated tournament for 40 students structured for a 3.5-hour window, either offered on a weekend or as a 3-day after-school event.

The pilot is a paid engagement. One class. One tournament. This term. Everything is brought to you. You provide the venue, the students, and a teacher point of contact.
